The local church of Saitama, Japan celebrated their 18th church anniversary and Thanksgiving last July 16, 2017, in Hatogaya Shimin Center. The theme, “Gratitude for 18 Years of God’s Goodness” from Psalms 136:1 was chosen to inspire the congregation.
The worship started with a dance number followed by several songs of praise from Saitama Choir and Tochigi Extension Choir. Brother Kirk Cruz, an AIT graduate from Canada, by the grace of God, administered the offertory and Thanksgiving message that led the people of God to a more faithful and fruitful service. Right after the offertory was the child dedication.
Pastor Ruth Lirio Rosas, the guest speaker, fervently delivered the message of God. She expounded how God is really good to all including the unrighteous according to Matthew 5:45. The spirit of the brethren and visitors were successfully revived through the message resulting to more than ten souls that accepted Jesus Christ as their savior.
The day concluded with a Gospel charity concert where all the profits went to the continuing ministerial and charity work of the brethren of Saitama Locale.
