MBS Conference 2019: Obedience to the Supremacy of God’s Calling
God’s work and miracles in His Church are continuous and unceasing. After the successful Luzon Camp 2019, the Maranatha Bible School Students proceeded to the Local Church of Marikina for their annual gathering and empowering in the MBS Conference. The opening night was held in the PMCC Auditorium last May 26, where The Goodman of the House, Apostle Arsenio Tan Ferriol preached about “Obedience to the Supremacy of God’s Calling.”
They started the next day by having a devotion in which Presbyter Charlie Magbata elaborated the fact that as missionaries, they have been given the right to preach the gospel where prayer is to be greatly considered.
Seminars then followed where Bishop Art Ferriol talked about the “Approaches to Effective Pastorneurship,” Presbyter June Alano about “Pioneering a Local Church,” and Bishop Resting Zonio about the “Guidelines for Good Shepherding.” These served as an additional knowledge to each one of them who will become the future ministers of the church.
During the Ministries Night, Apostle Arsenio Ferriol, delivered the message to the bible students. His words brought them to the renewal of their devotion to God as they knelt in their prayer of dedication.
For the third and last day of the conference, Pastor Levi Ferriol delivered the message to them during the daily morning devotion, giving them a deeper understanding of how essential prayer is to those who have given their lives to the mission.
During the first seminar, Presbyter Jun Marbida preached about “Overcoming Possible Pitfalls in the Ministry,” as it is normal to experience trials in the midst of doing the mission. The second seminar was focused on “Effective Personal Evangelism” which was discussed by Bishop Domingo Ferriol. Ptr. Sam Ferriol lectured about “Leadership and Character” on seminar three, broadening their minds on how to be the role models of the church.
Global Evangelist and Presbyter Leticia Ferriol administered the Word of God during the Dedication Service, fortifying every delegate’s commitment to fulfill the great commission entrusted to them with complete obedience to the Lord.
As they go back to their respective local churches, these brave people who selflessly surrendered their lives to God took home renewed strength and motivation to be good co-workers of Christ. (A. Abenojar)
