Cebu Brethren Celebrate Capernaum Area Fellowship
In the humble beginning of the true church of Christ, the wonders of God’s works overflowed. Starting from scratch of a single local church, it reached to hundreds in a small amount of time spreading the word of God from one coast to another. The word of God continued spreading from Tagalog to Visayas regions.
The Capernaum Area as one of the areas reached by God’s work, mark another mile stone of its journey in serving the Lord. It carved the seal in the hearts of every believer who attended the event. Dated February 24, 2019, at Metro Cebu local church, brethren from Cebu and Bohol provinces were gathered together to witness God’s glorious grace in the Capernaum Area Fellowship. With the theme “Rooted and Strengthened in God’s Love” (Philippians 3:17), they worshiped the Lord with the shout of praises.
The divine worship, with Pastor Cecille Mendoza the master of ceremony, led by the Metro Cebu praise and worship team filled the hall with joyous singing and praises unto the Lord. Pastor Merlyn Vicente, Bantayan local church pastor, took part in the opening prayer.
Then, Tchr. Gelyn Malundo head of MCA Basak chapter, greeted and welcomed the congregation with joy and gladness on this special day by introducing the participants from different local churches. The reading of the holy scripture was headed by Pastor Manny Perez head of Mandaue locale. Another heart-warming and encouraging message about God’s blessings was deliverd by Pastor Ranit Malundo area sub-coordinator.
Different songs of praises were offered unto the Lord which fueled the joy in every believer listening from the different locale churches: Bantayan, Metro Cebu, and Lapu-Lapu.
The brethren were empowered as upon hearing the word of God administered by the Capernaum area coordinator Presbyter Polly Mendoza.
The revitalizing experience will remain in the hearts and the minds of every believer who attended the gathering. Bringing God’s love and grace strengthening their roots in faith to continue serving the Lord until our savior Jesus Christ comes. To God be all the glory!
